The fine print, in plain words.
Is $5 really the whole price? +
Yes. $5/month gets you every feature, on unlimited sessions, across fifteen machines. There are no usage meters, no per-window charges, and no upsell tiers hiding the good parts. Past fifteen it’s a dollar a month per machine. The only other thing billed anywhere is your own AI provider.
What does “bring your own AI” mean? +
Clu runs your AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Aider, or a local model) on your hardware. Whatever you already pay your model provider stays with them. We don’t resell tokens or take a cut, and your API keys never leave your machine.
Do I need a credit card for the trial? +
No. The 30-day trial starts with just an email or a GitHub login. You only add a card if you decide to continue on Pro.
What counts as a device? +
Any machine running the agent: a laptop, a home server, a workstation, the Pi in the closet. The browsers, phones and tablets you connect from don’t count; only the machines you reach do. The trial covers five, Pro includes fifteen, and each one after that is $1/month. Adding one mid-month bills the part-month, not a whole one.
Can I cancel anytime? +
Anytime, from your account settings. No email, no retention maze. Billing is monthly, so you keep access through the end of the period you’ve paid for.
When should I talk to you about Team? +
When you need SSO, audit logs, an SLA, or unlimited devices per seat for a group. Pricing is based on team size. Reach out and we’ll put a real number in front of you, not a sales funnel.
